Giving Back
At Ancestry Helper, we believe in giving back to the community in which we are based and to the greater family of which we are all a part.
In this spirit, Ancestry Helper President Deborah Gosselin regularly undertakes family histories for hospice patients at Holland Home’s Faith Hospice facility in greater Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Deborah says: “This work is very rewarding. Time is of the essence in these family histories and it is wonderful to be able to provide something positive for the hospice resident to look forward to and focus on.” She also spearheads the volunteer efforts for the hospice’s overall Legacy Creation program.
Ancestry Helper has also contributed Family History Packages as auction items for a variety of charitable causes including the National Business Women’s Economic Council, the local public television channel, church fund-raisers, and special causes such as cancer victim fund-raisers.
My husband and I bought a Family Tree Package as a Christmas gift for his grandmother and she was so excited about it that she didn’t even want to open her other gifts! She is so thrilled that she can’t stop talking about it.

I had come to a complete standstill for years trying to figure out what happened to a set of great-great grandparents after they came over from the Netherlands. In two hours of custom research, Ancestry Helper found them. AH also determined that one was actually a step-great grandparent, found the parents of both, and when and where they were born in Holland. I’m going to tell my friends about Ancestry Helper!
